My Story and Connection to District 2
My name is Colton R Hatch. I served in the Utah National Guard for 6 years and currently work at the State's Pension system (URS), assisting thousands of public employees with retirement and life planning. This experience has shown me firsthand the struggles many face with affordability, employment, and future uncertainties. I believe I can make a meaningful difference in areas like Social Security, National Defense, immigration, crime, and environmental stewardship. I am passionate about stabilizing our energy grid, implementing an ambitious water program for the entire Southwestern United States, and bringing federal land control back to the state level.
My Vision for Utah's 2nd Congressional District
I am running for the new Congressional District 2, which includes Davis County and all of Northern Utah. My primary goals include improving the quality of jobs in our region, strengthening the National Guard, and addressing environmental concerns. I believe these issues are interconnected. Our pioneer ancestors sacrificed greatly to bequeath us this land, and it is our obligation to be excellent stewards, ensuring that our children and grandchildren not only retain control but have a future to be excited for. This includes mass deportations to secure our communities.
Core Beliefs and Values
My core belief is that it is our obligation to honor our ancestors, their sacrifices, and their lessons, passing that legacy onto our children. The pioneers transformed a desert into a beautiful land, and I aim to continue that work and create a paradise. I want our families to live without fear of crime and to feel secure in their neighborhoods. Like my cowboy predecessors, I believe in strong justice for offenders, particularly those who harm children. Punishing wrongdoers swiftly and decisively is not cruelty, but a necessity to protect the innocent.
Why I Am the Best Choice for District 2
I am the best person to represent District 2 in the U.S. Congress because I am a veteran, a father, a visionary, physically strong, and morally straight. I will energetically do my duty for our Nation, ensuring the vision our founders laid out—"To ourselves and our posterity"—is made manifest. I am committed to securing a future that our children and grandchildren can be excited about, upholding the legacy of those who came before us.
